American Idol Base

If you haven’t already heard, Simon Cowell will be leaving American Idol. This will be his last season. It seems he will be heading up the American version of “X Factor.” There’s rumor stating that he wants Paula Abdul to join him on this venture.

This could be the beginning of the end for American Idol. I mean, when Simon leaves, who will replace him? Simon makes American Idol what it is today and it’s hard to see someone else fill his shoes. Is this a strategic move for Cowell? Heading up X Factor will give him more money than being on Idol. Who knows? I’m sure over time American Idol will lose its steam and X Factor may rise to the occasion.

Let’s hope this season will be spectacular!
